NEPSA Staff
NEPSA is coordinated by a lean but specialized team seconded from the national EPS associations in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. These secondments allow NEPSA to benefit from dedicated thematic expertise while maintaining close institutional ties to each national context.
Each staff member is assigned a defined portfolio and supports one or more of NEPSA’s standing Working Groups. While all NEPSA staff remain formally employed by their respective national associations, they operate in NEPSA roles with responsibility for coordination, communication, or technical delivery in their assigned areas.

Host Organization
The national EPS association that seconds the NEPSA Director also serves as the host organization of NEPSA. This host is responsible for administrative operations, financial processing, and employment structures on behalf of NEPSA.
Director of NEPSA
The Director is responsible for coordinating NEPSA’s activities across all Nordic countries. This includes implementing board decisions, representing NEPSA in external engagements, overseeing Working Group structures, and aligning NEPSA messaging and strategy with national association input.

Seconded from EPS-branchen / Plastindustrien (Denmark)
Chresten Heide-Andersen leads NEPSA’s day-to-day operations and public coordination. With a background in industrial policy, sustainability communication, and cross-sector cooperation, he has supported Danish industry associations in promoting circular strategies and regulatory dialogue across the Nordic region.
NEPSA Working Groups
NEPSA’s work is structured around standing Working Groups (WGs) composed of staff and representatives from member organizations. These WGs meet quarterly and serve as the engine of NEPSA’s thematic and policy development work.
Each WG is led operationally by a designated staff member seconded to NEPSA and operates under a board-approved NEPSA Workbook, which defines the group’s remit and strategic objectives.

- Construction
- Packaging
- Sustainability
Each WG may form Task Groups (TGs) for targeted assignments, such as content development, data gathering, technical briefs, or policy inputs. TGs are made up of company experts or staff members, and report progress through the parent Working Group.
Staff roles are defined to ensure that each WG has a named responsible coordinator from the NEPSA team, ensuring continuity, follow-up, and institutional knowledge.
NEPSA Board
NEPSA’s Board is composed of representatives from the national EPS associations. Each country may assign up to two voting members, and full national boards are invited to participate in NEPSA board meetings.
